SNAPPY DRESSER

Saw Van Morrison at The Greek last night (9/19/2023). Yeah, the positive is he was dressed very nicely. He mostly sang to and played whatever instrument he picked up to his band, not to the audience. We saw a lot of the back of his salmon / coral suit, smartly accented with a lovely royal blue. Also a nice hat. He only performed 2-1/2 of his classics. He did some from his new record (his word) "Moving On Skiffle." Then he went on about meeting some reverend and brought out these vibrant gospel singers for two numbers that gave off a Southern Baptist revival / Sister Act 2 vibe. There were a lot of "amens" and "hallelujahs." He walked off the stage in the middle of "Gloria,"his last song. He left the stage in the middle of “Gloria.” His amazing band improvised for 17 minutes (yes, I timed it) The stage manager guy finally came out, did the finger across the throat sign. The band stopped, the lights came on, and the announcer guy said good night. No explanation. I'm seeking a refund.

WORST CONCERT EXPERIENCE EVER!

I didn't pay for a tempermental musician to walk off the stage and not come back. I didn't pay to hear his band and back up singers improvise for 17 minutes until the stage manager finally gave the "cut" signal. Was somebody backstage trying to talk Van to be a big boy and go back out and finish the show his (now former) fans paid for? I have requested a refund because the concert on Tuesday, September 19. 2023 was a total bust.

SORRY REPLAY OF CANCELLED CONCERT

I see positive reviews for this show and have to wonder if anyone has ever been to a concert. After driving 2 hours to the original show in April only to get notified it canceled as I pulled up to the venue, who came to to see Van Morrison play Jazz. The insult right off the bat was subjecting the audience to his daughter as the opening act.Her off pitch, unknown songs had our entire section within the first 15 rows looking around wondering what in the heck was going on. After a wasted 45 minutes of her then a break, the completely flat, no emotion Van enters…7 songs into the night not a single hit..nada. Every song broke into individual artist going solo..every song ..I mean the electric washboard is cool…but every song!!..first seven all sounded the same..sorry, but fool me once driving 2 hours to see him..fool me twice doing it all over again to see his daughter who wouldn’t get past the first round on AGT..nepotism front and center..sorry, couldn’t wait for Brown Eye Girl. walked
